- Privacy and Personal Information ProtectionThe New Brunswick Safe Sport Dispute Resolution Program (NBSSDRP) will respect private and sensitive information of individuals. The NBSSDRP is committed to safeguarding the personal information entrusted to the program administrators. This privacy statement outlines the practices that will be followed in protecting personal information. This privacy statement applies to administrators, all professional service providers (mediators/arbitrators) of the NBSSDRP and to any other person providing services on behalf of NBSSDRP operation. What is personal information?Personal information means information about an identifiable individual. This includes an individual’s name, home address and phone number, age, sex, marital or family status, an identifying number, financial information, educational history, etc.
What personal information is collected?
The only information that will be collected is information that is needed for the purposes of providing services of the NBSSDRP. The only personal information collected will be included on the “Complaint form”. Other information collected will only be by the mediation/arbitration professionals and used in context of offering service.
How will personal information be safeguarded?
All reasonable efforts will be made to protect personal information in a manner appropriate for the sensitivity of the information. Efforts to prevent any loss, misuse, disclosure or modification of personal information, as well as any unauthorized access to personal information will be utilized. Appropriate security measures when destroying personal information, including shredding paper records and permanently deleting electronic records will be utilized.
Why is personal information collected?
Personal information will only be collected in context of offering service of the program. Any reporting associated to this program to appropriate management or funders will exclude any identifiable and personal information. Only aggregate and summarized data will be used for reporting purposes.
